Since 2012, a second museum of Le Louvre opened in the city of Lens. This institution invites you to take a cultural break and dive into the world of art, with La Galerie du temps and different temporary exhibitions.

La Galerie du temps, in free access, offers more 5 000 years of history. It isn’t a simple gallery that you cross but a really jump in time: From the antiquity to 20th century, including the Middle Ages…

In parallel of la Galerie du temps, the Louvre-Lens museum offers, each year, two unique temporary exhibitions, focused on a specific part of history, on a civilization or a mainstream art.

Located in the heart of the old mining town, the Louvre-Lens museum is bordered by a park where the families can meet up, where the couples could take a stroll and where you could reconnect with nature.
